Kerokan identik sekali dengan orang Indonesia. Kebiasaan unik ini diyakini dapat menyembuhkan masuk angin.

Anda pasti pernah mengalami masuk angin,  saya pun sudah beberapa kali merasakannya. Dan jujur saja rasanya sangat mengganggu.

Masuk angin istilah medisnya apa?

Ya, masuk angin belum mempunyai istilah medis.

Ilmu kedokteran sama sekali belum mengenal istilah masuk angin. Istilah masuk angin dianggap sebagai warisan turun temurun masyarakat Indonesia.

Masuk angin lebih tepatnya bisa diartikan sebagai kumpulan gejala yang menandakan tubuh kurang fit dan keadaan terlalu banyak angin di dalam perut.

Tapi, yang kita permasalahkan bukan itu.

Yang jadi masalah justru kebiasaan yg kita lakukan saat terkena masuk angin.

Kerokan diyakini bisa menyembuhkan masuk angin. Saya, anda, dan para pembaca yang lain pasti setuju dengan peryataan tersebut.

Tapi, meskipun dianggap baik dan dapat menyembuhkan masuk angin, nyatanya kerokan menyimpan banyak sekali dampak buruk yang tidak anda sadari.

Berikut ini saya merangkum tujuh bahaya kerokan bagi kesehatan!

1# Melebarkan pori dan memicu masuknya bakteri

Sadar atau tidak, kerokan memakai uang logam bisa menyebabkan melebarnya pori kulit. Pelebaran pori ini akan memudahkan masuknya bakteri dan virus ke dalam tubuh, bahkan kedalam peredaran darah.

2# Ketagihan

Kebiasaan kerokan bisa membuat seseorang kecanduan. Ingin dan ingin lagi untuk kerokan. Hal ini timbul karena rasa nyaman dan hangat ketika kerokan.

Semakin sering dilakukan, efeknya akan semakin buruk. Dilain sisi justru tubuh makin ketergantungan untuk kerokan.

3# Memperparah masuk angin

Pada kondisi tertentu, kerokan bisa saja memperparah kondisi. Bukannya sembuh, masuk angin malah makin parah, hingga mual dan muntah.

Ini biasa terjadi ketika kondisi masuk angin yang terlalu parah, ditambah lagi bau minyak (balsem) untuk kerokan yg mengganggu.

4# Bayi prematur pada ibu hamil

Ibu hamil sebaiknya hindari kerokan. Banyak sumber yang mengatakan (salah satunya liputan6.com) bahwa kerokan pada ibu hamil bisa menyebabkan lahirnya bayi prematur.

Kerokan akan memicu diproduksinya hormon sitokin yang akan mengakibatkan kontraksi dini pada rahim dan terganggunya pertumbuhan janin.

Semakin sering kerokan, semakin besar juga risiko bayi lahir prematur.

5# Stroke dan pecahnya pembuluh darah

Meski belum dibuktikan secara ilmiah, kerokan diduga memicu melebarnya pembuluh darah.

Jika ini terus dibiarkan maka akan memicu pecahnya pembuluh darah hingga mengakibatkan terjadinya stroke.  Semakin sering kerokan, risikonya juga semakin besar.
